I don't watch much tv and only found out about the series after it was already canceled.
Obviously they have some messes they need to clean up from S4 but they got a good long ways through that tonight and I'm slightly more than cautiously optimistic to see where it goes next.

Even classified as a drama, it does not really shy away from the soap opera like elements. I'd describe it as a soap-opera of sorts, though I haven't watched many so my comparison may be useless.
